There's a few things I'm known for.
-My wife- We've been together for nearly 5 years. We got married this March. Not really a long time, but I'm only 22... That, and she has curly light brown hair and green eyes and is about the friendliest person you'll ever meet... people tend to remember her.
-My mutton Chops- I started growing them because I was sick and tired of shaving. Now, 2 years later, they are a signature part of my look. People tell me I look Irish or Scottish with them, and I love it.
-My belt buckle- Skull and crossbones. I wear it with everything from jeans to kilts to a suit and tie. And it cost me less than $2. Enough said.
-Music- I frequently get told I play too many instruments. I currently play guitar, bass, and drums, and I'm learning to play the tin whistle and accordion, and I will soon pull out my violin and start practicing again.

Mmmmmmmmm... I make jalapeno jelly but I bet habanero is goooood.
And now back to our regularly scheduled topic:
I really have no "official" distinguishing things associated with me. I am different things to different people. To some people, I'm the guy that makes awesome baklava. To others, I'm the crazy guy who drives his Jeep down snowmobile trails at ludicrous speeds (stupid trees...). Lately I have been referred to as the guy with the cool looking dog (Hungarian Vizsla).
Actually, now that I think about it, I am known for my cooking. All of my friends and family have a favorite dish of mine and expect me to make it for parties, dinners, or just because they want it. I even had a friend once who gave me a calendar where at least once a month there was a day circled that was a real or imagined holiday in which I could make her a pecan pie.

There are 10 kinds of people in the world...
Those that understand binary, and those that don't.

I guess my:
shaved head,
blonde beard,
multi-pierced ear,
hawaiian shirts,
motorcycling leathers/attire
incessant smart-**** humor
clumsiness
unabashed silly tendancies...
...Or the goofy look on my face.

OK, where to start...
Well, before the kilt I was always known for shorts and sandals in the winter. And I am still known for being a human furnace capable of walking barefoot in the snow indefinitely.
I'm known for wearing a lot of black and gray, which is unfair because I wear a lot of maroon, blues, and dark greens.
I am also known for my sunglasses, as my eyes are quite sensitive and I have trouble functioning during the day or even at night if there are bright lights.
In a related matter, I am also known for being a crazy nocturnal predator who chases small animals, howls at the moon and climbs trees at 3 am. This is usually attributed to the fact that one of my ancestors was supposedly a fire breathing werewolf, another fact I am known for.
I'm known for being sneaky and being able to hide anywhere (surprising given my size) and my tendency to pop out at people and scare the crap out of them.
Similar to the sunglasses I am known for carrying earplugs everywhere because of my sensitive hearing. And I am known for my keen sense of smell, which I have been known to use for tracking under certain circumstances.
I'm known for wearing a lot weird and mostly scary masks.
And I'm known for my passion for fire. I carry a lighter but I don't smoke, I build huge fires and move flaming logs with my bare hands (again, fire breathing werewolf), and I once caused the rack in a fireplace to deform, and the paneling on a nearby couch to smolder.
I'm known for my collection of sharp objects (and some big heavy blunt ones as well) and my habit of carrying one everywhere and using them in odd ways. You just haven't lived until you see the look on someones face when you offer them a brownie then whip out a wicked dagger to cut it.
Speaking of brownies, I am known for my amazing brownies, which are extremely thick and rich, and have peanut butter chips and dark chocolate frosting. I am also known for eating food at least half raw, especially meat.
I'm also known for my spy and ninja gear. Most people tend to remember the first time they see the ninja climbing claws.
I'm known for my glorious hair, which is a bright, shiny, golden blond and is so thick it cannot be tamed. When I get my haircut I always get 2 commnts: "Oh my god, where can I get hair in that color" and "Oh my god, I think I need a machete."
I'm known for my feet, which isn't surprising since my shoe size is "ogre" and I can hardly find well fitting shoes on the internet, let alone in a store.
I'm known for telling great stories and jokes, and can entertain a group of people for hours. Because of this most people don't realize how much I don't like being in large groups.
I'm also known for being a bit of a bull$#!^er, and just making up random crap that is completely untrue. I can lie incredibly well, and have made people believe outrageous, absurd things which any idiot should be able to see through. Oddly enough though it's when I'm telling the truth that most people think I am full of crap.
I'm known for being a thief; picking pockets and locks. Don't worry though, I use my abilities for good (and/or mischief) not evil. Recently I got a lot of laughs when I nicked a friend's cell phone at a white elephant party and put it in one of the gifts.
And I'm known for being completely insane.
As you can see, I'm a fairly memorable guy. Most people can't forget me no matter how hard they try.

I don't know if it counts as an "item" but I am almost 7 feet tall. People tell me that makes me stand out a bit. It's a bit annoying as people I only met in passing remember me on account of my height, and will act as though I should remember them. I tell them that when I meet someone, I just assume that I've met them before but forgot their name.
Other than that, church and kayaks. That seven foot tall preacher who likes to build kayaks - that's me!

Since this thread seems to have a new life...
Probably my tattoos. I only have 8 so far, but people do tend to notice them.
That and the fact that I am short.
