I took a look at the link and the graphic on the side of G-DRAM on the other forum was a different style and colour than that of the one shown above. Perhaps P1M's plane is fine ater all.

Well I don't know a lot about planes, but the one that was wrecked appears to be a seaplane of some kind, and painted differently as has been noted. Perhaps there are 2?

In the original post, C152T indicated that it is sometimes fitted with floats for scenic seaplane flights on and over Loch Lomond.

Seriously doubt it - G-DRAM is the reg. number...

She's had a repaint and had her floats re-fitted between my original photo in September and the new photos on that other forum. In fact the photo I took in September is the only time I've seen her without her floats, which were probably temporarily removed for the occasion. I gather the floats took the main damage and other than repairs to the wingtip she should be OK and flying again in the spring.

Well then the repaint explains it from my end, it must be an expensive proposition to repair a plane, I mean I hate putting my car in the shop.

See I learned something new today. I did not realize that G-DRAM was the registration. It seems that the small craft I have seen in the US use a combo of numbers and letters, but I could be wrong. I also missed about the floats in the first post. Thanks for the info all.

Correct - N followed by a combination of numbers and sometimes also one or two letters in USA.
G dash followed by four letters in Britain
C dash followed by four letters in Canada.
Here is a picture of my cousin preparing his Cessna 172 floatplane registered C-GEVE for flight on Shawnigan Lake, Vancouver Island, taken twenty years ago with Ann looking on from the jetty.
