    Long Shot...

    Probably not,

but the back of most power supplies have a slider switch that swaps between 115v and 230v. Double check that it did not get swapped during the hardware upgrades.

Try reseating the main power connector to your motherboard. The connection may seem tight, but the smallest amount of dust or other debris can cause the connection to fail. Remove it and plug it back in.

Past that I would double check that the risers (Small plastic spacers) between the case and the motherboard are doing their job and not shorting out the board.

Last computer problem update for now. My daughter brought one of her machines this past weekend. We tried the power supply in that machine and it would not even turn on the power led on her mb, so the supply is definitely bad. She was going to try and contact the company I bought it from about a return, but she left to go back to Salem Va before my wife and I got back from the rainy Va Scottish games today, so I have to call her to see what is going on now. So, as of now, I'm running some kind of AMD 1 gig processor with "I donn't know how much ram" on an Linux Mandrake OS (I have strict instructions what not to attempt) and a 4 gig hard drive.
