It's pathetic when the horses look better in pictures than I do. O'Neille
    *sigh* You and me both.

great pics...all we need now is a lassie in a mini-kilt atop said horses....

I'll see what I can do . . . . as long as you lads aren't asking for pictures of me leaning over a saddle looking coy.

Considering it was my first time I rode Nervous-**** Canadian style

How would I know? It was at a dude ranch (sister's wedding) and the horse was a big sucker. Sure a fun time though.

More pics! The black horse now has a new name, which I'm sure all X-markers will approve of. He's called Bonnie Prince Charlie, or Prince for short. He has his own tartan saddleblanket and I wore the sash O'Neille made for me. I was going to wear my mini-kilt, but a tumble down the stairs last night left me gimpy and there were children present, so I didn't think I could manage the contortions to mount a horse kilted and stay decent.

I did knit that sweater, though.

    Red Lioness,

    Great pictures!

    Colin,

FYI: She is riding western style. The saddle has the horn in front, it is heavier, and has longer/thicker stirups. One hand is used to hold the reins. English sadles are lighter, the strirups are shorter/lighter, and lack the horn. You also hold the reins with two hands at a lower position.

    Cheers
