In a way it's circular history. Sir Walter Raleigh brings the potato back from the New World. It becomes a major staple food in Ireland then the potato crop failures of the 1840s in Ireland drive many of it inhabitants to seek a new life in the New World.

Bradley, go for it. I like you taking a theme form somewhere else and adapting it for an original piece of art. I'm picking up my 5th tat on Monday, look for the posting sometime next week.

I think it's a cool idea. Go for it.
I've always liked tats. My other half just got a new one. It's been over 10 years since her last one & I'm going to get my first one tomorrow afternoon.
I'll try to get a pic up sometime later in the weekend or Monday.
