    RCallan,

You can always move due north. Then you will be able to wear the Georgia State Tartan. I might have one of those made one of these days since I was born and raised in Georgia. Have a good one.

Oh, come on! Go with obnoxious colors to compete with Victoria, BC, for ugliest tartan!

    Florida Flag
As a tangent/ afirmation that is what Colorado did. However the flag was designed to "represent the state"
"The blue is meant to represent the skies, the gold represents the rich minerals found in Colorado, white representing the snowcapped mountains and the red representing the the "reddish colorado river."

Our tartan then goes on to add the green of the evergreens and the purple of the purple mountains majesty.

I think that choosing representative colors can be done quite well and tastefully without resorting to "including the colors of Florida State, University of Florida and the University of Miami" for example [and an image to help put you off your dinner ]

Don't remember the colours of Miami U, but as a grad of Florida State, I know exactly what you would mean, especially if you included the colours of U of Florida and Florida A&M! The mind boggles and the stomach churns!
