Brett, looks d@mn good... Could probably wear it to the office, if you accessorized it just right. Bet it feels good to finally be kilted...

I used some 10oz wool that I had laying around that I was going to use for a great coat for my civil war reenacting. Yes kilted John it does feel great to be kilted, it is the most free feeling that I could ever have.

Brett,
That is a fine looking kilt (Huh! Another X Marker blessed with 'needle talent'! I am SO jealous!!) and you wear it well, into the bargain. Congratulations.
As for the 'Hamish': yes, really quite good (!). I'd like to see a little more extension of the right leg - your right leg - with a nice bend of the knee ........ it tends to show off the pleats to advantage! However, for a first timer you are showing considerable promise. Well done!

That looks great, and the gray material would work well in a business envirnonment, very similar to a UK Mocker in heather grey. And nobody else has said it, but Blimey, your a big boy! You look like you've got to be well over 6', with the Scottish stout to back up anything you want! I am guessing you don't get many disparaging comments, and can deal with the few you might get.
