Hello from another Robertson descendant.
I have four kilts in Robertson tartan now, including a Canadian Casual (made by our own MacHummel) in poly-viscose - it's a nice casual kilt, and I've worn it places that I wouldn't dare wear one of the woolen ones.

If you haven't already, do include Kathy Lare www.kathyskilts.com, in your list of options. She has a two part payment system that may help you with expenses. First pay for the cloth...usually about half...then when the kilt is finished, pay for the craftsmanship.
