Another great looking kilt Barb! And the pictures are outstanding. Awesome clarity and the scenery is great as well.

That's one helluva great tartan Barb!

Your future son in law looks very smart in it - be great if he wore it at the wedding!

Hopefully, this post will make it depite the heavy drool on my keyboard.

Being descended from great grandfathers who roamed the Trotternish Peninsula of Skye in Uig and Staffin I've had the Isle of Skye tartan high on my list. But until seeing pics from Pdcorlis and Jiminak, and now these lovely photos I haven't really understood the beauty of a finished kilt in this tartan.

Guessing more than one mill makes the tartan since the fabric seems brighter on Pdcorlis and Jiminak's pics than on these...which seem almost a weathered. Know cameras can make a difference too.

Also wondering about the leather. The straps on Jiminak's are brown leather. I can't see the straps on Pdcorlis' or these pics.

    Thanks for posting these beauties.

Barb - I've seen a few images of that tartan but they vary in color on my monitor. Can you tell me if it is a true "neutral" grey-black tartan or if it is a bit on the warmish brown tone to the shades of gray?

    Thanks!
