Yes, I'm up for an afternoon meet on Tuesday 13th March, Hamish. Would that suit you too, Paul? Anyone else?

I hope that I can do the 13th, the only slight doubt is if I am back from Gent, Belgium.I visit a few times every year to help a friend, and I'm still awaiting confirmation of his dates.
I was there a few weeks ago, and I really enjoy the City,so I'm always happy to go back.I thought I might include a gratutious picture , wearing my newest kilt( made by my own fair hands)modeled by the side of the water in Gent

I should know by the beginning of nextweek, so will let everyone know on here!

Huh! Another highly talented brother!! I am begining to think I am in the minority when it comes to proficient needle-active kilt wearers!

Look forward to hearing from you, Paul, and hope you will be back from your travels.

Nice kilt, Paul. I'm planning to wear my olive grey Freedom cargo kilt for our meet as its a style of kilt which isn't normally accesorised with a kilt pin and I wouldn't be allowed anything sharp on the flight. If 13th March is unsuitable, I could do 27th March, instead. Later than that could be more difficult as Ann's carer will be on holiday in April and I start to get busy with preparations for the election then after that we are into summer when flights come more expensive.

sorry , Hamish and Alex and others?
I won't be able to do the 13th March for a meet up, I will be away working, and I'm afraid the mercenary side of me has had to faced up to.
I'll be away for about a fortnight, so perhaps later on or early April.
I,m still really keen, hope to make the next one

At the moment it looks like I can only do 13th or 27th March. There is a possibility I will be working every Tuesday from the beginning of April, rather than every second Tuesday as at present. Flights are usually much more expensive in the summer months. If I was to do London on a day other than a Tuesday it would be subject to getting a carer for Ann on a different day. Hamish are you still up for 13th March?

Oh dear! Now it appears I am about to put a spanner in the works, Alex. The 13th March was looking good until a couple of hours ago when a letter was delivered informing me that I have been given an appointment with my Consultant Specialist at Brighton Hospital that morning. This is an important follow-up to the consultation I had last week, and I must keep it. So a trip to London that day is now out of the question.
As for the 27th March: It is my first duty day of the Season for The National Trust at Petworth House and, again, I really should be there - first days back after the winter are always important as we stewards are given one-off briefings on all the changes that have taken place in the house during the winter clean-and-restoration exercises.
I am SO sorry, Alex. After a few weeks I will be on duty only alternate Tuesdays, rather than every one. If Paul is likely to be free in April, perhaps we can arrange something for that month, although my diary is already getting pretty full.
By the way, I am NOT now jetting off to New York for their Tartan Week celebrations, which takes place in early April. The logistics and expense proved too much, but I've already been invited to go next year! Unfortunately, I cannot make the Edinburgh Kilt Walk on 1st April either.
Best laid plans, and all that! Let's hope we can organise something else in London soon - I still believe that weekends are best for most guys, but let's keep in touch on this.
