Many Goth websites sell black and tartan kilts. Chances are good he would wear a black kilt. Cessna152towser has stated he wears a black kilt when he visits his Goth daughter.

This is after I had to very firmly warn him about calling it "...that ridiculous Kilt...". He's 14 with raging testosterone and wants to push his old man. The other day was the final straw. I gave him a final ruling and let him know that I was serious! So, maybe he did it to make peace with the old man. But, to get him out in public in a kilt? NEVER! He'd be afraid that one of his friends would see him.

I don't mean to offend, but I don't know how to say this any way other than bluntly. I've been goth longer than your son's been alive, and I think that I would be more embarrassed to be seen with the poor makeup job he's got than I would be anything else. On the other hand, If he fixed his makeup and wore a black shirt with that kilt and jacket, the look would be very goth.
