Options:
1. Wear a color coordinating tartan that may or may not relate to the team or yourself.
2. Wear a general tartan that either matches or coordinates to the team (for Detroit, a red/royal stewart or a dress stewart would work well).
3. Have a custom woven stretch of tartan made SPECIFICALLY to coordinate with the team.
I have several hockey jerseys:
-1970s Atlanta Flames red (one real replica from 1972 signed by Curt Bennett and one modern "vinatage replica"), which works great with Wallace tartan (one of my family tartans).
-1990s Atlanta Knights black (IHL minor league team early to mid 90s and Turner Cup champions in 1994) which is black and light blue and coordinates well with X Marks tartan.
-2000s Atlanta Thrashers white and navy/maroon, which work with X Marks or MacNeil OK though the maroon does not match any of my red based tartans. It will work whenever I get my "Erskine College" custom tartan run (garnet and yellow).
-Whenever I actually get the "Blueland" blue Thrashers jersey, it should work beautifully with X Marks tartan.
Yes, I like Atlanta hockey.![]()
