Replica KaBar

Kathy Lare's husband adds a leather sheath with USMC emblem to a replica KaBar. Its made for a letter opener - aluminum blade - but I love it for the statement the distinctive handle makes sticking out of the top of my kilt hose. 7 1/4" overall.
I'll wear it with my Leatherneck tartan kilt for sure.

I once piped a wedding for a Marine couple; all the men had rented kilts & PC's, and the groom had a Ka-Bar stuffed in his sock. I told him that I'd usually caution someone that they wouldn't want to give others the impression that they were overcompensating for some physical shortcoming, but as a captain in the Marine Corps, that shouldn't be a problem.
