    Thanks for the report and the pics. It is a captivating visual when two kilts, pleated differently from the same tartan, look so distinctive. You did a fine job on these.

    I, too, made my first (cotton casual) kilt using those and other online instructions back in the fall of 2003. Alan_H's X-kilt instructions round out the library for Do-It-Yourself types. The book, The Art of Kiltmaking, then launches one into traditional wool tartan orbit.

    Again, congratulations on the success of your kiltmaking adventures.
