Ok, I actually got into the laptop long enough to pull out the scans I had in there. I'll post what I have, they shouldnt be so big where it'll bog down the thread here. One has a little bit of cartoon art nudity, so I wont post that one on the chance the mods wont dig it, but if you pm me, i'll send you the url. thanks for the compliments guys. heres a few sketches and a few paintings...

I know this was posted quite a while ago but... great artwork, there. Really makes me wish I could draw without using tracing paper.

That badge drawing is great! I have a tattoo of the Grant badge on my shoulder; without colour. I prefer the way it looks in just the black. If you can find an artist that is really good with shading I would get it done in just black with shading, but that's just my personal preferance.

holy cow! I'm glad we convinced you to share your artwork. That's some great stuff. I'm not into football, but man, those are super pics.
I also really dig the one of the two girls sitting together. Kinda reminds me of a comic book called Strangers in Paradise.
So who's artwork do you admire? Got any favorites?

Beautiful!!
A couple of years ago, my dad offered to pay for a tattoo if I'd be willing to get one...I just couldn't imagine a nun with a tatoo, though! Wouldn't he have been surprised if I had said yes!!

Yeah, I think my biggest insperation when I was growing up was Jim Davis, the guy who does the Garfield commics. That and Disney of course. I never really got into the more adult art. Was never a big fan of the "greats" well maybe De Vinci. But for the most part when I had to take art history in school, and everyone was taking insperation in Picaso or Van Van Goah or who ever, I alway took my insperation out of the Sunday Commics in the paper. Im just a cartoonist at heart I guess. I try and expand and do realistic stuff at times, but the cartooning is what i love. It shows in my clan crest drawing.
I think it suits me, it'll be my first tattoo. I had planned on getting this done for years now, and the idea kinda changed in time. The first idea was to get a piece of torn tartan around my arm, like an arm band. After working on it with a few tattoo artists everyone came to the conclusion it couldnt be done, or at least none of them could do it. So the idea got but on the back burner for a while. then about a year ago I thought about doing the crest, but I wanted to suit me better than any of the ones i saw so I had to draw it myself. So I just finally I finished it up just the other day. I kept with the tartan idea, though you cant see it in the pencil drawing theres tartan behind the Goshawk, its large drawn large enough in the image so that it shouldnt be a problem but it is in there.
I was thinking about sticking with the black and white design, but the artist in me wants the color. Im supposed to talk to a lady that does tattoo over here later today, Ill discuss all the options with her. I was origionally wanting it about 4 inches wide or so, but as suggested I want it big enough so see all the detail. So if it need to be bigger I guess I'll figgure it out soon.

I really like the artwork. Based on how it looks now, I would strongly advise to stick with the black and grey. Colour can always be done later, but a few firends have done family crests and clan badges, and the black and grey ones have always looked better in my opinion. More of the detail seems to show through, and a good artist will make it look great on your arm.
