Ah, it's a beauty sporran, and it looks magnificent with the kilt!

That is dirty, and sneaky, going custom with a SWK. Wish I had thought of it.
Looks great. McTavish gas grown to become one of my favorite tartans (not because of you).

What is MacTavish Gas? I've not see that tartan before.

By Matt Newsome: "On another note, about your sporran, I really like how the portion of the tartan used in the flap corresponds to the portion that would be behind the sporran on the kilt (only on the bias). I like it! I don't think it would have looked as good, however, if a different part of the tartan was used. Was this intentionally done, or just a happy coincidence?"
Coincidence Matt. If KT wore it lower, it wouldn't look as good. Unless specifically requested by the wearer I try to go with a dominant intersecting feature to emphasize the tartan on the bias.

McTavish gas could be a little secret I'm keeping from the Xmarks community..... It could also be the newest Scottish WMD...... The reality, however, is that the "G" is next to the "H" on the key board, and my typing sucks. Good thing I'm only using two figures.

I take it this new WMD is formed after a long night of haggis guinness and scotch?

There are several formulas used to make McTavish gas. Haggis, Guinness, and Scotch is one sure fire way to ensure an area will be unhabitable for a while.
I've heard there's a second almost equally dangerous, but more enjoyable way to make it; Scotch, Cape Cod fried clams, and Kilted KT stories. It's been said one should only try this while fishing the canal for line siders.

ok...that's it. I'll be in Mass in early June. Have to have a kilt night. I hear Jose McIntyre's is a great pub to hang out at! (ok, I've got friends who use to work there)
