I'd have ordered the 38, but jerry was all sold out. I need that size for the hip measurement. 36 is too small in the hip.

I ordered the 38 and got mine . Panache was taking pictures and he was supposed to post them. I like it just fine. Most comfortable wool kilt I have ever worn. I suspected that would be the truth because Tim has a wool blackwatch from Stillwater and the material seemed pretty nice. The usual great service that Jerry provides was indeed the usual and much appreciated.
The garment itself? Man does this have a lot of bsting stitches. Never had a box pleat befor either. It is a great looking kilt. My son is a Marine so I am very pleased to be able to wear this kilt. I would love to compare this with my sons handsewn USMC box pleat
I am not a kiltiphile so I will not get technical. All I care about is does it fit! It do! I have lost a lot of weight so 14 kilts two or three actually fit. I will be wearing this a lot.

I took them, and the lovely F-H.C.A.G. already posted them in a thread about the April Kilt Night in Belmont.
But here is a pleat shot:

Here is the link to the post by The F-H.C.A.G.. She correctly identifies the "box pleats" as "military box pleats", two completely different pleating styles. A military box pleat is a knife pleat with the final inch turned back to reveal the stripe. The box looks shallow on the left side because it is only an inch deep, but on the right side the depth is several inches as in a standard knife pleat.

It's good to know these are now being made and distributed commercially, outside the "reproduction" niche.
