Those are all awesome. I need to get off my rear and order myself the parts to make one.

I'm curious. On what informal occassions would I wear my ..dirk?
I'm a piper; it's not unusual for a bride to want to cut her wedding cake with a dirk, and most any time haggis is served around here, it's done with at least a bit of ceremony, and again a dirk's called for. Many guys in this area wear a dirk with casual wear, although I rarely do.

I never wear a dirk with casual wear, but I would if the notion struck my fancy. I just find that big ole knife a bit unwieldy.

But I do have both a regimental and a formal dirk that are very similar to PiobBear's. (He does have excellent taste, you know.) As to the dirk Panache is creating--it's a real beauty--I don't know that it wouldn't be appropriate for any occasion with the appropriate sheath. I was led to believe that a stag handle was considered OK for both formal and casual. In fact, I have a pretty slick looking sgian dubh with a crown stag handle that I rarely wear unless I'm dressed up.

Nice work, Panache! And nice selections, PiobBear. Maybe I'll get my stuff out and take some photos later.
