Okay, I'm hooked...GOTTA know, do you remember WHICH shade of green Lewis kilt hose you're wearing there...don't think its bottle green but can't tell if its lovet green or loden green.

    Hi Ron -

They would be the (may I have a drum roll, please?)... loden.

The lovat is above, the loden below.

Ah, how grand it is to have an addiction WITHIN an addiction, eh?

    Enjoy them!

Great looking kilt. I just orderd mine from USA. "Jones" i believe is the word now.....Not a big fan of drug culture vernacular. So i will hum the tune "Anticipation" (Carly simon) till it arrives.
On that Sporran. I too have one of those M-14 pouches in my collection. and the shoulder strap from the 2Qt Canteen you use as your strap. You could dress it up with some (jute) from the Gilly suit it could look as good as any big furry Sporran out there....

I echo that comment. Just out of curiousity, when were you in the Armed Forces?

Enjoy the wait! Good idea on the ammo pouch - but if I put too much camo on it, I'll drop it and never be able to find it again!

I was going to use the narrower strap off one of my map cases, but didn't get around to digging one out before I took the photos.

Thanks! 1976 through 2000 (although as a retiree, I'm still in the "retired reserve" and subject to recall at Uncle Sugar's whim, so I'm kind of still "in"). Not that they're currently desparate enough to put me back on active duty.
