OK, so how many takes 'til you got the double Hamish? Will the UK ever be the same?

I love the kilt, Hamish. I'm gonna have to come visit you when I'm over there in '08. Not sure if I'll be able to make the Storrington Gathering, persay. But I will have to at least stop in to shake your hand, none the less.

Great photos and superb expression at the official handover of the new leather R Kilt!
I have been to Arundel Castle but it was many years ago. It's a lovely town with a nice RC Cathedral too.
I was amazed at the "split" church and the dividing gates between the castle side and the town side.

You are right, Trefor, it IS a lovely old town and full of charm. Although not RC myself, I always attend the wonderful Carol Service in the Cathedral just before Christmas each year.

Yes, I think that must be unique. There is now a glass screen dividing the church - the town side is the Anglican Parish Church and the side entered from the Castle grounds is the RC chapel to the Castle. The Dukes of Norfolk have been RC for generations and most are buried in the chapel.

For those interested, here is a link to the informative official Arundel Castle website:

As previously stated, a visit to Arundel and its magnificent Castle is on the cards for the Storrington Gathering in June 2008.

I always try to meet kilties from the four corners of the globe, and to give them a welcome either in Storrington, or in London if they cannot make it this far out of the Capital. All I ask is for plenty of notice!
