Thanks for the photos. Did she say yes by the way? The glassblowing one reminded me of a Spanish sausage seller on a beach there. She was topless and frying sausages! Could have been painful if the fat sparked. How did your knees fare in the heat without an apron?

Very nice, and congratulations on the romantic proposal. Your Dublin ensemble is particularly well colour co-ordinated too, and I commend you for it. It is a pity about the footwear however, but I realise how important comfort is when sightseeing!!

She did in fact say yes, but for the life of me I'll never know why.
Given the orientation and height of the furnace and glory hole, heat at the knees isn't really an issue. I sure am glad for the extra protection from the sporran however. It adds a couple of layers of insulation for, as the spanish put it, the "partas nobles", heheh.

How true.
My black footwear are still being broken in, my feet never would have survived the day.
