This is my Aunt Jean and Uncle Murdy after the service, he was wearing a new pin from Britain, it says HM Armed Forces Veteran, Uncle McMurdo volunteered at the age of 17 to fight in WWII, he was saying to me today he wanted the Army or the RAF but they put him in the Navy :

It was a good day full of laughter and family, there was a wee do after the service at the grandparents house, I got there late as I took Aunt Jean and Uncle Murdy home, it was a wonderful day, I am very happy that I took the day off for it.
