does anybody know if there is a "correct" way to wear the replica of the regimental kilt pin ? Does the round thingy go up or does the safety pin clasp thingamabob go up?
If it's the kilt pin that looks like sword that I see on the website it's usually worn with the blade pointing down.

I'm glad you decided to try another order with Stillwater. There is a reason so many of us have such loyalty to Jerry and Stillwater Kilts, he's earned it.

    Cheers

One of my SWK orders they inadvertantly left out the Kilt-Pins (I had stupidly measured wrong so called up to change size at the last minute (Duh!) and they had to quickly pull the package). Although it wan't their fault, they specially shipped the pins AND a free Kilt hanger, within three days! great service!

I love Jerry's service too. I have two SWKs and my partner has one. We love them. Glad to hear that you've had a change of heart.

Iv Ordered From Stillwater A Few Times. Iv Been Very Happey With Every Thing Iv Ordered. But I Too Oredered A Night Stalker Sporran. I Got It A Couple Of Weeks Ago And It Is All Ready Falling Appart. I Like It Very Much Its The Most Usefull Sporran I Have. But The Poor Thing Just Not Holding Up. One More Thing That I Have A Proplem With Jerrys Shipping. It Has Left Me Spoiled. Now When I Order From Other Venders Im Chomping At The Bit With Waiting.

I feel your pain, because it is a brilliant design. We have a local leather craftsman 'round here who does not know what a sporran is. So I took my nightstalker to him and he is making me a leather variant, with his own design.

It turns out that my lopsided nightstalker has off setting penalties, i.e. the pouch itself is twisted one way by an uneven main seam , and the beltloop on the back is tilted the other way. So it almost hangs str8 and just looks a bit abused.

Now the economy sporran is impressive at first glance. Really did not expect much for fifteen bucks. This will be my "back up" sporran for all time. Not much room, but it can hold smokes, wallet, keys.... (we really don't need cell phones and saying that there was no place to carry it properly with my kilt outfit is a great out) I will prolly use the nightstalker for work, and the economy for formal occasions (Wal Mart Shopping after 6 p.m., Bailing out my neighbors at troop 7, that sort of thing).

No it's the safety pin looking one. I have been looking through pics and have seen it worn both ways, and pinned through both aprons a few times :P

I do know to pin the top apron only, and for some reason really like the look of that style pin.

Since most folks around here think I am a cross dresser or a lost bagpiper, no big deal - just nice to know.

Pin down: if it comes loose it won't fall up so you won't lose it and, the way you find it has come loose is a poke in the knee instead of something more sensitive the other direction. Although, you seem to be hinting you might not mind that, oh, never mind.

Many thanks Sir, I will leave the ad hoc body piercing to the younger set.
