I didn't think Dread had shown up!!!!
Unfortunately, I have NEVER made those games myself. Maybe next year . . .
Sounds like fun was had by all.

Okay, I will sound a bit dumb here, but I am pretty sure according to the other GFM post we were to meet at the Harp tent on Saturday at 1pm. I found no Harp tent. What did I do wrong? I looked all over for red ribbons but saw none. I enjoyed the games but was bummed out I did not meet up with anybody.

Sorry you missed us and we missed you! The harp tent was right behind the cairn (seen in Kiltedmusiclover's Wallace photo). Because my Fraser tent was right there by the entrance and the cairn everyone ended up there for the photo. GMHG is a big place so it's easy to get turned around there.
Thanks for the nightlife pics KML. That's one part of the experience I haven't had. I just can't stay up late and then be there at 7 am for 3 days running getting that tent set up. I love the peace and quiet on top of the Beech.

Here's a few that I took.
First, my son MadBagpiper (he's the tall one!) in the massed bands.

Albannach performing. What a rocking group!

A view of the athletic field and a few of the clan tents.

Happy patron of Jack of the Wood Celtic Pub and Highland Brewery in beautiful, walkable, and very kilt-friendly Asheville, NC.
New home of Sierra Nevada AND New Belgium breweries!

The stage at the harp was higher so it didn't leap out at one. And only two folks went with the red ribbon. I picked a woman to wear an XMarks shirt, seemed easier.
You should see the camo kilt Bill made for his younger son, Patrick?, it is great.

Someone stated times to meet at the harp tent for both Friday and Saturday. I was there Friday but got the time wrong Saturday. I had red ribbon behind my kilt pin but didn't meet anyone.
There had been talk of passing flasks around so I carried my Scottish smallpipes round incase we had a little gathering and wanted some music of our own.
Hopefully I will have better luck next year.
Peter
PS The games were great

...........
Sorry about Friday Pete. I had to make a run to Boone
Friday to get a camp stove as mine had died.
That threw me off from being there at 1pm on Friday.
After some consideration I think we need to
come up with some better plans for next year.
The flags at the campsites did not work as there were to many flags.
I think Bill and you were the only ones with the red ribbons on the kilt pins.
So I am open for suggestions.

I thought about going, but had just made it home that Thursday from a week in Indiana, so I opted out. I'll have to plan better for next year! Thanks for the pics, looks like I missed out on some great stuff!

Unfortunately I didn't have my camera ready at all times. I saw 3 backwards kilts and a host of below-the-calf kilts but I did manage to capture the elusive Xena.........
