Now I'm trying to decide who, (besides Red_Raven_Studios), deserves to see me in my new kilt...

Thanks for the pics. I was looking to get a SWK in weathered MacKenzie as I liked the subdued look on the web sight. I hunt in a kilt and I thought that it would make a good hunter but it is a little too lively for that. I guess I'll have to stick with my "Son of MacBedsheet" kilt.

Here's the link to the kilt page...
Swk Standard Weathered MacKenzie
Enlarge the pic and compare it to the picture below, which I took, trying to match to the actual colors...

Hi, you might want to check your monitor settings- the "corrected" picture you posted definitely is too garish compared to the actual fabric, at least on my calibrated monitor. That red stripe in your pic is way too vibrant compared to the actual fabric, as are all the other colors. On a properly calibrated monitor, the SWK photo is the correct shade. It looks like you over-adjusted the saturation to make it look right on your monitor, take a look at the pics on a different monitor.

Funny you should say that...I recently ran across somebody's website - I forget whose - that spoke of the hunting tartans as having been designed before they discovered that deer were color blind.

Not to drift too far off topic but matching colors with your surroundings is just one aspect of camo patterns. One of the key things in camouflage is to break up the "outline" of the object (in this case a person) being hidden. I understand that the recent "digital camo" is supposed to be a big advance in this outline-breaking-up process especially in urban areas.
