Ya, the weathered is better. The ancient is too orange. Hmmm, ancient orange....wasn't that a nasty chemical of some sort? Bad association for a tartan.

David, I have the Livingston Modern for one of my kilts and wish I had the ancient. The two tartans are very similar with the red and green, just the other lines that make the difference. Of course for you, that would be the ancient and weathered.

That orange and green in the ancient just seems to clash, IMHO. So my vote is for the weathered.

I'm as much a sucker for the color orange as I am for peaches... I voted for the ancient because I love the color... and that pic of the kilt looks pretty nice too.
