    Correct; traditionally the French do wear their berets pulled over the left ear. In the Commonwealth, the cap badge, as you well know, is over the left eye, with a few exceptions mentioned here.

    Being only two generations removed from the Ozarks myself, I can attest to the tie and overalls attire. And it's true it's not restricted to us hillbillies; I've seen the same around these parts.

    But I don't know of anyone but the Foreign Legion who wear the beret pulled to the left. And, being the rather tough outfit that it is, I'm sure it's just fine!

    Also, some berets actually have air holes on one side which require them to be worn a certain way. I bought one from the Yugoslvian military with the little vents on the right you so would need to pull it that way.

    Either way, Panache, that's a very good looking outfit, rig, and dog. So who cares how you wear your beret?
