Dang, Gary. I am sorry for the loss. I was just looking at the picture of Mog on the "Bast Friends" thread a few minutes ago and thinking what a beautiful animal he was.
I had a similar experience with my yellow lab abotu 6 years ago. He was 13, and, well, he just kind of wore out one day. I did for him what I hope someone loves me enough to do for me when my time comes: I let him go peacefully.
Then I sat in my truck and cried like a baby.
Maybe Fritz and Mog can play until we get there.

My heart goes out to you. I had a wonderful dog, whom everyone loved--even the cats, and who looked a lot like your Mog. She too was diagnosed with lymphoma. Even though the chemo worked for four years, it broke my heart to let her go when the time came.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had to do the same with my best pal Wulfgang 3 years ago and not a day passes that I don't think about him. Especially this time a year. It is tough.

Heartbreaking. Our animals offer us the gift of unconditional love - for that I'm sure they will be waiting for us when we take our eventual journey.

Terribly sorry - to both Wompet and McJore
Whenever I hear of someone losing a furry friend, it makes me think of the wee wagging beasts I've had to say goodbye to. Brings a tear to my eye every time.

Sorry for your loss. I had to put an 18 year old kitty down 8 years ago, and know she'll be waiting for me when I get to that bridge
