Thanks for the warm greeting everyone! I never knew there were so many people here from the Cincinnati area. I actually found the site while we were planning our wedding next fall. I was looking for advice on where to rent a kilt for the wedding (Fathers side descended from MacTavish/Thomson and Clark Families), but thanks to this site found the kilt can be worn for more than just "special occasions". I now plan on buying a Newsome box pleat in MacTavish/Thomson Red and renting just the formal attire.
Moosedog- The SWK i bought was actually just a Thrifty, not Economy. The problem I have is that I'm a fairly big guy, but also very short, so the 24" length looks like a dress. Not only does my gut stick out, but so does my behind so i'm shaped big in the front up top and big in the rear down bottom. Not only do i have to wear the kilt high, but i also have to dip the waist lower in the back so that the bottom edge is even!
