Welcome from the desert, and thank you for your review. Guess I'll have to go take another look at them.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

I own a black NK and I happy with it for the most part. The things I'd like different are a little bit deeper pockets (wha ??? ), yes I said pockets.
Although it never happened it "felt" like the items were close to tumbling out.
Not ridiculously deep "you can hide a six pack of brews in 'em" pockets but just a little more depth. Beyond that the edges of my apron tend to curl outward even after ironing (sit ! stay !, lay down !) which vexes me to no end. I'm still trying to get a shot of the penguin in shades for a snow camo kilt (I see it all the time, of course with no camera and the hell phone doesn't take good enough pics either).
One of these days, I told Josh I would.

If you search thread titles for Neokilt, you'll get about 4 hits counting this one. If you search the text, you'll get about 89 hits.

I have a NeoKilt in P.V. MacMillan modern black, an U.S. Army boxpleat in wool on order that is being sewn now, and a Holyrood with the fabric on order.
Needless to say I like Josh's kilts.

Welcome to the rabble!

I had a similar reaction when I first discovered neokilts. It's hard to keep track of all these kiltmakers. I wonder how many more are out there that I don't know of yet.
I'm interested in neokilts, and I like some of their features (pockets are good, and the ccps is awesome) but I've already got the next 2 kilts picked out, and I won't have the money for months, so I'm avoiding looking up anymore kilts I can't afford.

I"ve never owned one, but I've seen several of them, including Camerons. His seems to have an issue with the apron curling out, but the others I've seen (Mostly at the Gig Harbor Rensaissance and Fantasy faire) were well made and looked good.

Thanks for all the welcomes and such, and I'm glad to know these are around. I guess they just aren't mentioned much.
Wearing it now, I think I see the beginnings of that apron-curl, but I've just been bending it backwards myself. The only thing that provides the slightest bug to me is the last pleats on the right side containing a pocket between them; the inside of the pleat sticks out between them and I have to stick it back under the side of the apron and straighten the pleats after sitting or bending. It's not much though, just a quick tidy-up now and then.
Now I'm giddy as a school girl with my new hose, sporran and red flashes (to go with Josh's embroidered red lion) and am currently sporting a t-shirt (which features a squirrel with a club in front of a pile of acorns, with the large caption reading "PROTECT YOUR NUTS") which matches the kilt.
I have to say, this kilting is pretty fun; everybody's recognized it as a kilt so far (probably the hose and sporran give it away), so that just improves it.
