Thanks for all the wonderful advice. I know we all have preferences, to tuck or not to tuck, that is the question...lol Anywho I will not be tucking in the sweater.
I should have all the pieces of the ensemble together in a week or two, and will post a pic, for go/no go vote.
Have a great one!!

I think the ensemble sounds great--the only thing I might change is the flash color. I know the tartan flashes are a bit dressier but a bit of color there might set off the greys and blacks. But in AK, probably NS flashes are good. Not wearing carhartts will set you off enough.

(Carhartt comment not meant to be disparaging, just my memory. I suspect the usual AK dress is a bit different than when I lived there, we were suspicious of anyone dressed up too much.)

Yeah, around here Carhartts are as acceptable as a pair of slacks. I would not be surprised to see at least one Carhartt brand garment at the wedding.

I disagree (disagreement on this forum??? ) I think that the greys and black will look fine together. No need to set them off. Then again, I have terrible fashion sense. Then again, judging from the comments on alaska's fashion, my advice might be appropriate

I appreciate any input....
Alaskan Kilted Guy,
Sounds Great, but I think I would wear a different sporran. Maybe something in Grey. Like pic below.

I may have to track down something of that sort. That looks good!
