That's exactly what I do with my black Amerikilt. I'm metal, though- not punk. The AK lends itself well to an Iron Maiden t shirt and chains.

awesome man! kilts are perfect for punks and metalheads! i wear mine with slayer, van halen, ac/dc, and led zeppelin t shirts. have you thought of sewing band patches to the sporran?
