British Army Ww2 Issue 37 Pattern Webbing Belt

I plan on wearing this BRITISH ARMY WW2 ISSUE 37 PATTERN WEBBING BELT with my kilts whenever I wear my suede desert boots. Now I just have to make a proper sporran out of similar material and color.

This belt is more to wear with my desert boots, because the belt, sporran, and footwear should ALWAYS match, at least that’s what my grandfather taught me when getting dressed for any situation.

I wouldn't worry about making a sporran out of this (or similar) material. A plain brown sporran would work perfectly. If you want a plain military one try WPG.

My son is at KSU and wears either a UK or Amerikilt at times. You still were probably the only kilty in Manhattan last weekend since he went to visit a friend in Newton. I've not seen any kilt police when we've visited either.

I think this will look good for casual day or evening wear.

I like the belt.

But if your definition of evening wear is "formal" Then I think not.

If your definition of evening wear is only in the evening - like bar hopping - then OK.

Or - - to change but one word in what you said - or to and......

so that you mean to say --I think this will look good for casual day and evening wear. Also OK. The operative word here then becomes Casual!

Hey Rogerson, if you look up Penny's of Ontario, Myles (Penny) has belt buckles to fit that belt. I bought one for Royal Artillery and re-fitted it with the Army ensignia from a Dress Blue belt buckle (goes outside the coat). The belt you have has not changed in size or design for the British Army, only in color. I got mine in Iraq from a squaddie I met since I forgot to get my kilt belt sent over. I piped kilted there a couple times on the holidays. It looks like we enlisted about the same time if you are at 20 years. Cheers
