Alright, true confession time! It wasn't all that cold. It was only about 32 and it was sunny. The machine had a good faring and windshield. It was chilly in the shade but all in all it was not too bad. I though I was messing up his sled until he told me that it had heated grips, my hands were hot! My pard was laughing so hard; he said "We gotta put this on the kilt page!"

Such machines would be rarely useful in the UK but it sure looks fun!

OK, if you can do 109 MPH in a kilt then I'll be impressed.

I grew up in Effingham, NH on an 80 acre farm. In the winter we used the snow machines to do the run to the Post Office and General Store. The sleds of that time topped out at 80 M.P.H. on the lake. The reason for using them is that a one hour ride over the roads that are open in the Winter could be a 15 minute ride directly through the woods and across the frozen over lake. A very small windscreen, and no heat other than from the engine between your legs. I rode kilted when the temp was above 10 degrees.
