I have no problem with a company buying other companies which are more successful in a certain area. As long as microsoft doesn't try to micromanage yahoo (which would just be stupid since they haven't done so well with their own site) then things should remain more or less unchanged and maybe MS will learn a thing or two. If you can't beat 'em, buy 'em.

Of course, I haven't had enough nice gear to really get screwed over by MS, so it's easy for me to be indifferent. The only trouble I ever got from them was the defective dvd drive that so many early Xboxes suffered from.
