OK, I can see you now! You'll never get us all to agree. I think the length is fine, if that's where you want to wear it. (Mid knee to top of knee is all within the "accepted" range.) I'll second the higher belt, and scrunched vs. rolled socks advice. Frankly, if you didn't change a thing, you'd be looking fine for the festival. Enjoy.
Best regards,
Jake

I tend to agree with most. The recommended position of the selvage is mid knee to top of the knee.
The belt should be higher, and is usually covers the top buckles.
I'm not a fan of mounting the sporran on the belt. If the sporran pulls the belt down, you might want to try a sporran strap.

I'd also have the belt a bit higher on the Kilt. and socks like the others said. I'm not quite sure if I can see a Kilt Pin?

So, belt higher, kilt a bit lower, proper hose (which I'm hoping will be here tomorrow, they're on order) and scrunched, not rolled. There is a kilt pin, it's a bit hard to see. Oh, and the chain for my sporran was too short. I'm making a proper strap, but it's not finished yet. What else, lads?

The hose/socks could be scrunched down OR get a pair of khaki hose form WPG and use the flashes that you probably got with the kilt from SWK. Otherwise you look great. AND welcome from the Front Range!

You may, and I say may here, because it might be cold, want to find either a leather jacket which is short enough to be worn with your kilt, or convert a sport coat to go with your kilt so you stay warmer. I think you look great as is. Just a bit of advice for staying toasty.

Since you asked... When you get your sporran strap ensure you don't mke the mistake of hanging it too low (you're at that point now with the hangers). Rough guide top of sporran no more that 3 finger widths below belt buckle (which will be raised tomorrow, if not already). Basically sporran should preside in upper third of kilt or there abouts. Oh and don't listen to the guy above me. I'm still working on him and it's taken years some gobs of clay are just harder to create a work of art .

I think it's pretty much been covered. Try the advice you've been given and you will be just fine.
