    That's good.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

I think it's great for a married couple to have a common interest. There's something unusual about the kilt, but maybe it goes beyond that. I don't know of any other message board for men/women who, say, wear bow-ties or suspenders.

We definitely have a lot of common interests, but this is one of the few that opens up some of my interests to him, like sewing. It also opens up one of his interests, men's fashions and style, to me (I obviously am more interested in clothing for women, and I have to admit I'm not fond of men's suits and things like that -- unless they're a couple centuries old. I do like dressier fashions if the kilt is involved. I'm not sure why that makes a difference).

But yes, you're right... it is interesting how we've both taken to a lot of aspects surrounding the kilt and shared them, so to speak.

It would be nice if we can get every male in all generations to wear kilts.

I've always tried helping Cynthia with her sewing projects, but it's never something I ever wanted to learn (outside of simple mending). With the kilt, it's just something that's very cool to maintain.

I'm lucky to have a skilled, self-taught seamstress to teach me how to do things I know I'd mess up if left to my own devices

It's become a favorite garment. I love being able to dress it up or down. With kilt nights and other people in the area with a shared interest, it's fun getting out. I also look forward to spring (a short thing in Texas), and hopefully getting in some hiking while kilted.

If by "skilled", you mean someone who can fumble and fake her way through something... then yes ;) Otherwise, hey... sometimes when I'm teaching you, I'm figuring it out at the same time! Ha!

I really hope we're able to get you more kilts and get you more accessories. I see a lot of opportunities for getting out kilted, and I want to make sure you have the chance to change things up and adding a bit of variety.

And Alan -- I don't have any twin sisters, sorry!
