It WAS a grand event. And I can't even COUNT the number of times I got "checked" while wearing the kilt in Vegas! It was spring break and the college aged girls were, shall we say, curious...
But the truth is, the reception to me being in a kilt the whole time (4 days) I was there was fabulous...I got applauded at Harrahs by the concierge staff, high fived by countless young African American males and knuckle bumped by countless young men of all types and colors. I think most men WANT to wear a kilt, realizing the rationality of it, but don't really have the stones to step over that threshold...yet they acknowledge those who do in a positive way.
Women of "a certain age" were smitted by the masculinity and boldness and cheek smootches were the order of the day from them.
GREAT time!!
