Very beautiful. But why would you have to have permission to wear a kimono? Would you need permission to wear a sari or pants?
Since the other employees have to wear uniforms, probably!
Very nice looking.Well done!
If you don't mind me asking what kind of work do you do?
I'm a waitress in a Japanese restaurant in Avon, Indiana.
I always found that if a lady wanted me to know what she was wearing under anything then I didn't need to ask.
Okay. That one I think I'll have to use!
I like the untailored garments - English smocks, saris, sarongs, cloaks, capes, togas, tunics, sarapes, ponchos and the like, but the last few years have seen a distinct reduction in non kiltlike sewing.
Me too. As a woman with no legs or torso, but an hourglass figure, I find that tailored clothes *NEVER* fit right. A long kimono is pulled up and wrapped at the perfect length, I never have to worry about falling out of I bend over, and my stumpy, muscular legs need never show!
Plus a tightly wrapped obi is a great comfort when lifting heavy trays and standing for hours on end.

An Open Letter to All Restaurant Patrons
I just read the “An Open Letter to All Restaurant Patrons” and I was falling out of my chair, so true what you said.

Hey, whatever happened to the old reliable answer: geta and tabi?

On a similar note, a lady walked into a bar and asked for a double entendre. The barman said I'll give you one.

For a garment that's famous for the sheer number of layers, I've been astonished by the number of people who ask what I'm wearing under the kimono.
I don't have a snappy comeback yet. Double entendres about pipes don't come out right for kimono.
Q: What's worn under the kilt?
A: Nothing is worn.. it's all in perfect working order
or
Q: What are you wearing under that?
A: Shoes and socks
I suppose those could do for kimono's as well.
And that kimono is beautiful.

You don't expect the lass to wear geta, now seriously Turpin, that would be harsh. Zori perhaps, unless you really need the click-clack of the geta.
A tightly wrapped obi is a fine place to stash a number of things. And I didn't know they allowed Japanese food in Indiana
I like your ickle rant about restaurant patrons too

Ask back, "What do you wear under your clothes? And why do you need to know?"
DALE.
You don't have to be Scottish to be comfortable!
