I do have a good amount of Ancient Gordon Tartan in 11oz, more than enough for a kilt, but I'd like to try a solid color first to get familiar with the mechanics of sewing a kilt before I go matching up tartan.

I also want to keep it semi-trad to trad with nice tight knife pleats...I'm not a big fan of the box pleats.
