Your very sorry you got caught by the siren call as you perused the site and you will make it up to her by taking her out for a night of her favorite activities, and/or do her part of the house work for a bit.... Worked for me.

At least it will make a nice blanket for you on the sofa...

Just be honest.. a kilt is worth sleeping on the couch in my opinion. You'll still have the kilt long after your "sentence" is over ;)

Bunch o' schemin' liers the lot o' ya! Tell her the truth and apologize. She'll get over it- eventually.

Seriously? If you have to make up a story you're doomed. Admit you are powerless against the power of the kilt. If that doesn't work, just tell her your girlfriend wanted you to get it.

LOL - You guys sound like the ladies in my knitting and stitching groups hiding THEIR stash from THEIR husbands/boyfriends.
It's a lot easier to hide a few balls of sock yarn than a kilt, though.
Seriously, though. Fess up, and start a kilt fund for the next one. Planned expenditures are always better for the budget.

Kilt fund, eh? That's a great idea. We already have a Christmas club account and starting a kilt fund would be easy right now.
Thanks for the idea

Take her out to some place fancy as a surprise, or something else along those lines which requires dressing up, and wear the kilt. Don't say anything about it, just let it blend in. At worst it becomes part of something random and nice, and if you're lucky she won't even notice.

Nighthawk's right. She will look into the first lie and you will have to lie about lieing and it goes on and on and on and you'll know where you'll be.
Just take your lumps up front, but... she might actually like the kilt in the first place...
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
