How disappointing for you.Just a thought,is your kilt a "traditional" one that is worn somewhere around your belly button ,or, is your kilt of a more "modern " cut? If it is of the latter cut, that might explain where the 2 inches have gone.

It's a USAK semi trad.

I have to admit that I have never seen a USAK semi trad to be able to comment! What I should have asked though, are you talking about your measurements in the legth or the width? Sorry. If we are talking length then Maybe(?) the cut of your kilt may have something to do with the missing inches!I may have started a "red herring" here, sorry. In any case you are dead right to do your homework before spending the hard earned loot.Good luck and lets see a photo or two when the deed is done.

The USA Semi-traditional kilt has a traditional rise, if it is being worn correctly then it should be fine with a Prince Charlie and waistcoat.

Nighthawk, in case you don't see it, over there in the jacket patern thread that I posted a link to, there is a comment to you. Basicly it is that Eton jackets are fine and lots of the X Marks members wear them.
* In fact, I'll just wormhole it over here, and edit it down to the part talking to you, Nighthawk.

In fact, while I don't feel like doing a search on that, I know it's the case, because I still trip on over to uniformalwearhouse.com on occasion to think about getting one myself when I get the money- and I know that I found out about that site here.
Sounds good to me, Nighthawk, not that I know anything about jackets...

The other option is to get a made-to-measure jacket. Glenniff did a made-to-measure for me at the same price as their off-the-peg. I can give you my contact if you like.

Nighthawk is on his way down here to Phoenix, so he can't hear you... I'll try to remember to bump this thread when I see him on the forum again.
