The one wooly pully I have I bought from cavscout and I really love it. I too put it on and immediately thought "How long are the arms of British soldiers?"
I'm pretty sure they are designed to be rolled up like that.
Looking sharp (as usual)
And kudos to your generous friend here on X Marks the Scot! A nice gesture indeed.
Cheers

Your comments about the length of British soldiers arms, reminds me of the first occasion that I took my 3 sons to see the Commando monument at Spean Bridge. They stood looking at the three bronze soldiers for several minutes and then said "no wonder we won the war daddy",I could not quite understand how their minds were working,so I asked why? They said in unison "well look at the size of them!".The statues must be ten feet tall and to young children size matters when it comes to soldiers!

Glen, that's a good-looking sweater. Of course, I'm a little biased - three of my four woolies were uniform issue originally.
And as for the expression - look at any of the pictures I took with a self-timer, and you'll see a similar one. "Did I set the delay for 5 seconds or [FLASH!]"

Looks great. And what a generous gesture on the part of our fellow X-Marker. I had a similar experience with a forum member sending me several pair of hose garters. Do you have the sweater tucked in to your kilt in the photos? I tried tucking in my commando sweaters but hated the bunched up way it felt under the kilt.

No Jay not tucked in, the bottom is rolled up a wee bit, if not it hangs way too low.

Looking good.
I'm jealous. I think I need to get one of those to go with my Canadian military issue Black Watch...
Are there any other generous anonymous individuals willing to help a guy out?

To the anonymous X-Marker, if you want to remain anonymous you will send me a commando sweater and $5000 in small un-marked bills or I will be forced to tickle McMurdo until he spills the beans... Oh wait, I know who this individual is! Can I still tickle McMurdo?
Nice haul Glen. Nice gesture Mr. Anon. I also like your poetry .

Very Sharp!
And a nice look for you.
It used to be said that the sun never set on the British Empire. I guess perhaps it was because with arms linked, they could encircle the world!

I think that had more to do with the British Navy more than anything, Rule Britannia and all that.
