I have no idea where you could get the material from Stateside - get googling!
There is a company making 'workwear' kilts http://www.clothes4work.com/blaklade...FSZWMAod53Hg6A but as they are not sticking to the conventional design I won't be recommending them. (The material they used is not long enough and the front is too short, but I quite like the pockets)

Thank you for the tips and information. I will start Googling to see what is available here in the states.
Thanks and best regards to you.

I didn't notice the top one when I went through the site, actually I think the back may need reworking, it looks a bit tatty.

He keeps his side arms awful,
And he leaves them all about,

Now, which one are you in the pictures again?![Think](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/think.gif) ![Rofl](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
I don't think the back looks that bad at all. Is the material very thin, though? There seems to be a lot of puckering in the sewn down part of the pleats.

May I ask, where did you find hose that color? Or did you by a pair of white hose and dye them with a magic marker

They are girl's goth/punk type that are supposed to come up over the knee which I got in a goth/punk shop. Bit like these:![](http://www.darksideclothing.com/acatalog/SckOYellBlkStrp.jpg)

OK, yes, just a gratuitous opportunity to post a slightly pervy picture..

What a splendid bit of fun, Courtmount. The kilt may not be absolutely perfect but, a step or two away and I'm sure it is truly effective. A brilliant idea which no doubt reflects your personality to a 'T'!!
And to think that this can be seen on the streets of my home city - Pompey!
Take care,
Ham.
PS: I'll let you guys into a secret .......... I have just ordered one of the Hi-Viz Blaklader kilts for 'The Kilt Kollection'!]

I like it for two reasons.
First, it shows a certain playfullness that suggests sumpreme confidence.
Second, It makes my pink kilt look downright subdued! ![Laughing](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
