I have the comando model, which is the boulder with extras. It is much lighter than a regular wool kilt.

I highly reccomend SportKilt for the summer time. Very cool. Just don't wear it in a strong breeze (I learned this the hard way ).

A SportKilt is definitely a warm-weather kilt. I was in NYC and DC on a hot July last year and it was very comfortable. I also wore it to a friend's birthday bash one autumn night and things got a bit cooler than I liked. I'd've been warmer in my NeoKilt.

I've worn my Sportkilts while competing in Highland games during the summer in the South. At those times "cool" is a relative term but I never got uncomfortably hot in the kilts. IMHO they make really good hot weather kilts!
