Ron, I don't know if it's me or my PC or what, but I can barely see any detail in your photos which seem unusually small for you! I certainly cannot see any tartan detail, which is a great shame as I too remember with admiration the photos Barb posted a while back. The one thing I can see is the red of the hose, which to my eye overpowers the colouring in the tartan but, knowing you as I do, I guess you are carrying it off with aplomb. An excellent charity to support too. Well done.
Take care,
Ham.

Aye Phil, she does. This is my TENTH hand sewn from her...think I'm hooked deep...but you just can't beat her craftsmanship.
For those interested, the lady at the United Kingdom Antarctic Heritage Trust was looking to see if anyone was interested in having the tartan woven in a 16 ounce.
If you're interested in either the 13 ounce or the possible 16 ounce have your kiltmaker, or you, contact Rachel Morgan at rachel@ukaht.org

Yeah, no doubt! Red socks with that! It looks great! I would have never thought of that. Navy blue or black, maybe lovat blue, but not red! It looks so good! The contrast is striking and really works well- the hot color with the cool ones. I need to get a pair of red socks to wear with my Clergy tartans now. Brilliant!!

Wowsers! I rather liked that tartan when you first mentioned it, Ron. However, seeing it made up into such a beautiful kilt, man, I think that just made the wish list. Spot #3. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Dang Ron, Your causing problems in my household again. I had been telling my wife for a couple of years that particular tartan was on my list in the #1 spot. And then you go and have a kilt made out of it..... I wonder if I can 'borrow' some of the food budget to pay for it?
And just to say it, Kathy certainly has made another masterpiece!

That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon
