Not that I'm accusing the Skeleton of such ungentlemanly behaviour as openly chastising other fairgoers for their choice of length. I'm just creating a hypothetical situation to illustrate what I meant in my original post.

Hello PRB,I am sorry that I may have misunderstood you.Courteous views are given and even encouraged on a website like we have here, but no gentleman worth his salt would ever air his views in public, unless asked for them.Eyes open and mouth shut,is the way to go at any public event, that way no offence can be given or taken.

OK, all this PC talk in the last two pages has me thinking....if we are all so egalitarian in regard to how a kilt is "supposed" to be worn, then how come the largest and most-read thread on this site is the one entitled "kilt do's and dont's"????

.....And furthermore: the snarky comments on that thread point to a much less-than-PC attitude amongst those of us contributing to this site (me included since i stand guilty as charged in including sarcastic/snarky comments when posting pics on that thread).

So let's be honest and say that there is indeed a "right" way to wear a kilt that is generally shared by those of us who took the time to join this site and contribute.

    -just my two cents worth

The ancient Sumerians wore a kilt that was ankle length. So whatever, I guess....
