As I mentioned above, I've never been to an Irish festival. Are there a lot of kilts worn at such festivals? I'm just wondering if I'd look out of place if I went kilted. Since I'm not a full time kiltie, I'd have absolutely no objection to wearing shorts if a Scottish kilt would be out of place at an Irish event.

I have to work on Sat but I may try to go on Sun.
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

Jay, if you're worried about that, wear an IRISH kilt!

If I had one I would. I love some of those county tartans with their deep earth tones and autumn colors.

Jay, I wear my Irish National kilt to East Durham every year. I don't see a lot of kilts there, but there are always a few.

So... who actually got to go to this great event?! What a BALL!!!!!!!! You folks in Upstate New York really know how to put on a party of epic proportions!

The Saranac Irish Red Ale may have just become my all-time favorite beer. That's not just because it was free.

I was there on Saturday. Holy crap, Jimmy!!! You guys tore the lid off that place. The only thing that gave Barleyjuice a run for it's money was mother nature. And let me tell you, for a while there I thought we were going to have to swim home. I had an absolute blast. Thanks so much for the great show. Barleyjuice gets better and better every time I see them.

JRB... just consider it Central New York's way of giving you a free car wash!!!

Glad to hear that you had as good of a time as we did. Rumor has it that Barleyjuice will be returning next year to continue with the mayhem that we started. I sincerely hope that the F.X.Matt Brewery is better prepared for the band next time! I've NEVER played anywhere that didn't know that Barleyjuice was a drinking band with avid followers!!! They friggin' ran out of the beer on the second day!!! Bwaaahaaahaaa!!!

Get there early next year and we'll tip a few pints... again.

Well, upstate New York has been giving me free car washes just about every stinking day this summer. I can't recall a year with more thunder showers.

    Absolutely!!!

Another friend of mine went on Sunday. She said most of the food vendors were out of all the good stuff before noon.

Unfortunately, she's no aficionado of beer and Celtic music (though she enjoys the music), so I didn't get much of a report on it. The shopping was great, however, or so I am told.
