I hear that they use a lot of double sided sticky tape at the evening gown parts of beauty contests...

Staples are so barbaric.......A couple of large, sturdy Safety Pins would do nicely, but with a Royal Stewart Tartan, of course, (so the blood won't be so obvious....)
I know, I know......

If the kilt is a little large and the kilt straps can't be tightened enough to hole the kilt up, then I would suggest that you move straps towards the center of the aprons. This is an easy fix if the kilt is too large. There are drawbacks though, the front apron may not center with the center of the pleats. It is an easy fix though.

Just so you chaps know,on this side of the Atlantic,"suspenders "are used by ladies as some form of underwear to hold up their stockings! What you call "suspenders" we call them "braces" or "bracers".

And over here we refer to THOSE type of suspenders as "garter belts". It's interesting noting the differences in English between here and there.

This relates to a problem I have. I do wear a belt. I wear it as tightly as is practical, but the belt itself is always slipping down. I too have thought of suspenders (braces), but have not taken that step yet, wondering how it would look.
Is this an item of modern dress which people think is totally inappropriate to kiltwearing?

Duct tape!
According to the two most important things a guy can have to fix things...it would have to be duct tape!
If it moves and is not supposed to the use duct tape.
If it doesn't move and it is supposed to then use WD-40.
However, staples did cross my mind too but probably the belt is an easy fix.

This was talked about, here ,a while back and at the time I thought, well if it solves the problem, then why not?I cannot see any problem with doing that, BUT with one proviso and that is:the braces(suspenders) should be worn under a waistcoat,or,sweater for example so that they are hidden.I really think braces (suspenders) worn on top of ,say,a T shirt with no covering would be nothing but a dreadful sight.
