Thanks HL, this adds to understanding where they are coming from. They look and sound reputable, and some members can attest to the quality and value. As we know now, in most of our consumer goods it doesn't matter where they are manufactured. What matters is how they are manufactured. If you shop at the chain stores, most of your merchandise comes from overseas.

Compare the quality and not just the quality of the photography. Cheaper but cheaper as well. Maybe their shoes are better. Don't know.

man how quick we are to repudiate and tell horror stories about name impersonation and what not.

as someone said earlier, they are a reputable company that happens to be based in Pakistan

I started off the thread by stating that they seemed to be up front although I must admit my first thought before doing a bit more research was that they were maybe trying to impersonate Geoffrey (Tailor). They look to be a perfectly reputable firm and their prices are certainly very attractive. Don't know if I would go for a kilt though.

Really, it comes down to what it's worth, to you. If you want your purchase to be, hand made in Scotland, and price is not an issue, than don't buy from companies like this. However if you're like a lot of us, and don't have much money to spare, then go for it. I have no problem with a company openly selling, "made in Pakistan", "Scottish" goods.
